GolfSmart is an indoor golf training and practice facility in the Calliope Shopping Center on Memorial Drive in west Houston, and it bills itself as Houston’s largest indoor golf center. It is a lesson-and-practice room, not a bar: come to take a lesson or to hit in a climate-controlled bay where the weather is always fine.
Coaching starts with an assessment of any physical limitations. Then comes a swing evaluation using video and TrackMan to identify what needs work. Students settle into a drill routine and move on to chipping, pitching and putting, with follow-up lessons and tracked metrics to measure progress. Instruction is tailored to the individual rather than a one-size approach.
Juniors are a big part of the roster, with group lessons and coaches who have worked with the same young players for years. Lesson packages and discount packages are on the pricing page. Rates change, so confirm current pricing with the venue before you go.
Hours are 9am to 7pm Monday through Thursday, 9am to 4pm Friday and Saturday, and 1pm to 4pm Sunday. Wheelchair accessible entrance, parking and restroom.
