Hi there — I’m Brock.
I’m from the Pacific Northwest, and there’s no team behind this site. It’s just me, working on it in the margins around my full-time job, loading cargo ships.
I’m not a developer, designer, or coder. I’m just a guy with a laptop who learned to build a website through YouTube videos during lunch breaks. What started as a curiosity slowly became something meaningful — a project that kept me focused during a difficult season of life. I quit social media, stopped zoning out in front of the TV, and poured my energy into building something I thought could be helpful.
Golf — and especially golf simulators — became special to me this past year. There’s a local spot I take my two sons to, and it has become our little escape. Watching them laugh, smash golf balls, kick soccer balls into the screen, or pelt digital zombies with dodgeballs… those moments mattered.
One weekend, while my boys were on vacation with their mom, I tried an X-Golf for the first time. That night on FaceTime, my oldest said, “Dad! Guess where we went today? A golf simulator!” Same day, three states away — what were the odds? That’s when I realized indoor golf wasn’t just growing; people genuinely loved it.
That spark eventually turned into this site. It became my project, my escape, and maybe even my passion (or obsession).
I’ve done my best to make GolfSimSpot clean, accurate, and useful — but with thousands of pieces of data, I’m sure a few things aren’t perfect. Still, I hope the overall experience is helpful enough to bring you back.
Thank you for visiting, for sharing the site, and for giving this project a little life. It makes the hours upon hours of spreadsheet drudgery a little more worth it. I appreciate it more than words can express.
Hit ’em straight — I know I don’t.
– Brock
