Lefty’s Alley and Eats opened a second Delaware location on Grove Lane in Newark, and it brought the Topgolf Swing Suite with it. The original store sits down at the beach in Lewes. This one serves the northern half of the state, which puts a Swing Suite bay within easy reach of Wilmington and the Interstate 95 corridor.
The bay runs the standard Topgolf Swing Suite package. Virtual courses and the Topgolf target games form the core, and the multi-sport titles cover dodgeball, hockey, baseball, football, and carnival games. Lefty’s describes these as state-of-the-art social sport simulators, which is a fair label. Food and drink service reaches the bay while you play.
Booking ahead is worth the trouble. This location is newer and busier than its review count suggests, and weekend slots fill. Call (302) 273-3200 to check on availability before you drive over. Hours run eleven in the morning to ten at night Sunday through Thursday, and eleven to eleven on Friday and Saturday.
The Swing Suite is one attraction inside a much larger entertainment building. Luxury bowling is the anchor here, the same as in Lewes. An arcade and axe throwing sit alongside it. Newark also gets two attractions the beach store does not have, a Game Show Studio and a darts room the venue calls Krazy Darts.
That combination is unusual, and it is the main reason to pick this venue over a standalone simulator. A group of eight can split up, play three different things, and meet back at a table. The Game Show Studio in particular gives you something to do with people who have no interest in golf or bowling.
Food comes from what the company calls its award-winning restaurant. The Lewes kitchen is chef-driven with a full bar, local brews, and classic cocktails, and the Newark menu follows the same approach. Expect to spend roughly twenty to thirty dollars per person. Table reservations and online ordering are both available, and takeout is offered.
Events are a real focus at this location. The venue advertises kids parties, adult parties, corporate team building, and general social gatherings. If you are organizing something for a work group in New Castle County, this is a practical option, because you can book bays, lanes, and food in one call rather than three.
Newark is a University of Delaware town, and that shapes the crowd. Main Street runs a few minutes away with its own restaurants and bars. The location just off Interstate 95 makes it a straightforward drive from Wilmington, from northeastern Maryland, and from the Pennsylvania line. Parking is free in the lot and there is usually plenty of it.
Reviews are still building. The venue holds 4.2 stars across roughly 76 Google reviews, and several of those date to the soft opening period. Guests praise the atmosphere, the game variety, and the bowling lanes. Some mention the usual opening-months rough edges around service pace, which is normal for a venue this size in its first year.
For a golfer in northern Delaware, this is a good social bay in a building with plenty to do around it. Treat it as an evening out rather than a practice session. If you want swing analysis, coaching, or a club fitting, book time at a dedicated indoor golf facility instead. For a group, a party, or a rainy Saturday, it works well.
