The Westin Maui Resort and Spa in Kaanapali runs its Topgolf Swing Suites inside a venue called The Valley Alley. The name nods to Maui’s nickname as the valley isle. The resort says it is the first venue of its kind inside a hotel or resort anywhere in Hawaii, and there are two Swing Suites in the room.

The suites are high-tech simulators set in a lounge, with virtual golf and a run of interactive sports games. Food and drink service comes to you while you play. Reservations are recommended, especially in busy hours, and you can book by calling 808-662-2775. The Valley Alley is open daily from ten in the morning until eleven at night.

The bays are only part of the room. Duckpin bowling sits alongside them, played with smaller balls and pins, which makes it easier for kids and beginners than standard lanes. There is also a wide arcade with classic cabinets and newer virtual reality games. Guests mention Mario Kart and VR racing in reviews more than once.

The kitchen serves elevated bar classics and island-inspired takes on comfort food, and the bar draws praise for its cocktails. The venue rents out for buyouts, and those packages include both Swing Suites, the duckpin lanes, the virtual reality games, the arcade, and a custom food and drink menu. That makes it a real option for a group event.

Parking is the detail to plan for if you are not staying here. Self-parking is validated for up to two hours, then costs eight dollars for each additional hour. Valet runs 50 dollars. Budget accordingly, or plan to walk over if you are staying nearby in the Kaanapali resort area.

The resort itself is oceanfront and large. There are four outdoor pools, one of which is adults only, plus hot tubs and cabanas around the decks. The spa has beach views. A fitness center, a business center, and meeting rooms round out the property, and an airport shuttle is available for a fee.

Rooms and suites are casual and bright, with flat-screen televisions, desks, plush beds, and private balconies. Tea and coffee facilities come standard and some rooms add fridges. Lanai access and ocean views are the two things guests mention most in reviews.

Dining on the property covers several formats. There is a burger bistro, oceanside dining, and a Polynesian revue that pairs an island-style buffet with a live dance show. Room service operates as well. Between the resort restaurants and The Valley Alley, you can eat here for a week without leaving the grounds.

The setting is the real luxury. The resort sits directly on Kaanapali Beach, with beach chairs and direct sand access. Whalers Village, the open-air shopping and dining complex, is a four-minute walk away. The Kaanapali Golf Courses are the same distance, so a real round and a simulated one are both within walking range.

Guests rate the resort 4.3 stars across roughly 4,087 Google reviews. Praise focuses on the beach, the pools, the lanai views, and the concierge team. For a golfer on Maui, The Valley Alley is a genuinely good rainy-evening option and a strong group venue. For swing work with real coaching, book a lesson at one of the island courses instead.
