Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine calls its Topgolf Swing Suite The Grounds, and it sits inside the largest indoor water park resort in northern Texas. The bay is one attraction among many here, and the whole property is built for families rather than for golfers. Understanding that up front sets the right expectation.

The bay runs the full Topgolf Swing Suite game set. Virtual golf anchors it, with the target games plus multi-sport titles covering dodgeball, baseball, hockey, football, and carnival games. Book it in person at the lodge or online through the resort platform. Call the reservations line before you plan an evening around it.

The water park is the reason people book. It runs 80,000 square feet indoors and stays at 84 degrees year-round, which removes weather from the equation entirely. There is a wave pool, a lazy river, a full set of slides, and hot springs. In summer it opens at nine in the morning.

The dry attractions are extensive too. MagiQuest is the live-action game that runs through the whole lodge, and there is a ropes course, bowling, mini golf, a large arcade, and a Build-A-Bear Workshop. Guests move between them all day, which is what makes the resort work for a two-night stay rather than one.

Suites are themed and built for kids. Every one has free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen television, a microwave, a minifridge, a coffeemaker, and a balcony or patio, plus a sitting area with a pull-out sofa. Forest-themed suites add tent-style bunk beds, wall murals, or whirlpool tubs. Upgraded suites offer one or two bedrooms, and some have lofts.

Dining covers a poolside cafe, two informal restaurants, and a pizzeria. There is also a spa and a gym for the adults in the group.

The property has been through a recent renovation, which the resort promotes heavily. Day passes and season passes are both available if you want the water park without the room. Seasonal programming runs through the year, including summer events and holiday theming.

Location is genuinely convenient. Grapevine sits between Dallas and Fort Worth, five miles from the shops at Southlake Town Square and two miles from the LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is close enough for a short transfer, which makes this workable as a stop rather than only a destination.

Two practical notes. Parking is paid rather than free, which surprises some guests at a resort in the suburbs. The property is very busy in summer and on school holidays, and reviews reflect that with comments about crowds. Book midweek if you want a quieter visit and easier access to the attractions.

Guests rate the lodge 4.1 stars across roughly 16,693 Google reviews, a large sample that makes the score meaningful. Praise focuses on the water park, the themed suites, and how much there is to do. For a golfer, The Grounds is a good hour with your kids rather than practice time.
