Pure Drive Golf is a coaching-first indoor golf facility in West Cummings Park in Woburn, ten miles north of downtown Boston. It is a training ground for golfers who want to get better, and the setup follows that. There are five TrackMan simulators, a PuttView putting studio, five instructors on staff, and club fitting. Simulator rentals are there for people who just want to play.
The five bays run TrackMan launch monitors, so you get club and ball data on every shot. The software carries famous courses including Pebble Beach and St Andrews for playing rounds. Putting is handled in a separate studio built around PuttView, which projects lines and games onto the green. Pure Drive’s own mobile app, on both app stores, handles bookings and shows color-coded feedback on the key TrackMan numbers, so you can read your data without a coach standing over you.
Simulator rental is priced by time: $30 for 30 minutes, $55 for an hour, $85 for 90 minutes, $110 for two hours, $140 for two and a half, and $165 for three. Packages knock the rate down: a five-hour package is $247 (10% off) and a ten-hour package is $440 (20% off). The putting studio is $30 for 30 minutes or $45 an hour. Hours are 9am to 9pm Monday, 8am to 9pm Tuesday, 6am to 9pm Wednesday through Friday, and 8am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. The early weekday openings are a nod to the before-work practice crowd.
There is no bar or kitchen, since this is a practice facility, and There is Wi-Fi, a restroom, and a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot and restroom.
Lessons are the main event. Owner and director of instruction Adam Kolloff charges $235 an hour. Lead instructors Brian Dunleavy and Athan Goulos are $195 and $180, and certified instructors Quinn McCann and Evan Gagnon are $145 and $130. Five-lesson packages take 10% off. Multi-instructor programs include the Ultimate Game Plan at $1,283.50 for full swing, wedges, putting and speed work, a Beginner Series at $739.50, and a Putting Plan at $467.50, each priced at 15% off the hourly rates. Club fitting runs $80 for an hour on irons or woods, up to $240 for a three-hour full-bag session. Fall and winter leagues draw more than 50 teams at $100 per two-person team, with lessons, clubs and gift cards as prizes. A junior program for ages 13 to 17 includes a TrackMan profile, a fitness screen and a fitting assessment. Rates change, so confirm current pricing with the venue before you go.
