The Tee Box is a two-simulator indoor golf and sports lounge behind Beaver Avenue in Ellwood City, about 40 minutes northwest of Pittsburgh. It is a small, all-ages walk-in room with a food and drink bar, ping pong and a lounge. It is the only sports lounge in town with virtual golf.
Both bays run Full Swing simulators with more than 110 courses. You can even build your own course from holes across different layouts. The same screens run the multi-sport games, with bats, dodgeballs, hockey pucks and footballs on hand for the non-golfers. Each simulator takes up to six players. Two players get through 18 holes in about two hours, four in about four. Bring your own clubs or use the house sets, which come in men’s, women’s and kids’ sizes.
Tee times book online and start at $30 an hour, with peak pricing in the fall and winter on evenings from 4pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. Groups of seven or more should call to reserve. A membership runs $500 for five months, paid in person, and lets members book one-hour blocks whenever a bay is open and bring friends at half the open rate. Rates change, so confirm current pricing with the venue before you go.
Hours are noon to midnight Sunday through Thursday and noon to 2am Friday and Saturday.
The bar serves a full food menu plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and a catering menu covers events. Free lot and street parking, Wi-Fi, a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot and restroom, and live performances on the calendar round out the room, which is family-friendly and good for kids.
Birthday parties, graduation parties, family gatherings and corporate events can reserve one bay, both bays, or both bays plus the lounge for one to four hours. Party packages include food and drinks, and pricing depends on bays and space. Leagues are forming, and gift cards and Tee Box apparel are sold in the shop.
The Tee Box fits families and small groups who want an easy local round with food and games in the same room. As of this writing it holds a 4.6 rating from 81 Google reviews.
