BirdieFinish Golf is a game-improvement studio on NE Village Street in Fairview, east of Portland. It calls itself Oregon’s number one custom golf club and repair shop, and its owner is a Master Clubmaker, a World’s Top-100 club fitter and a tour-experienced instructor. An X-Golf simulator anchors the studio for fittings, lessons and indoor golf.
Fitting is the specialty, and it comes in three forms: a classic fitting for new clubs, a retro fitting that adjusts the clubs you already own, and a free “feel” fitting that needs no shots on the simulator. Every club sold is built here, and customers are invited back to re-check the fit later. Fittings are billed by the hour. Rates change, so confirm current pricing with the venue before you go.
Lessons are taught by golf professional Jari Hakonen, whose students range from beginners to LPGA Tour players, in packages rather than single sessions. Hours are 10am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturday, with Sunday and Monday by appointment. Wheelchair accessible entrance and parking.
