Mallard Creek Golf Club is a 36-hole public golf course on Royalton Road in Columbia Station, on the far west side of the Cleveland area. Two regulation 18-hole courses, a driving range, practice greens, 180 carts and pavilions serve leagues, outings and open play. Inside the clubhouse there is a TrackMan indoor golf simulator for the months when the course is under snow.
The simulator runs TrackMan 4, the dual-radar unit that measures club and ball through the whole flight, with shot data on screen instantly and in the TrackMan mobile app afterward. TrackMan’s Virtual Golf 2 software puts more than 50 world-renowned courses on a 4K display. Closest-to-the-pin, long drive, capture the flag and bullseye games round it out. Time is sold by the hour and half hour, with the same rate weekdays and weekends. Rates change, so confirm current pricing with the venue before you go.
Booking is by phone or email rather than online: call (440) 748-8231 to reserve simulator time, a lesson with one of the club’s pros, or a tee time. The simulator room doubles as a small event space for parties and get-togethers, and the club hosts corporate and fundraising outings on the course. The pro shop offers regripping.
A snack bar sits on site, and Bootleggers Grille, a full-service restaurant, is next door. The club is open 6am to 9pm daily in season, with simulator availability by reservation.
