The Links Indoor Golf is a six-simulator golf bar on South Main Street in Findlay, a mile south of downtown in the same plaza as the Dollar General. It is a seasonal winter room. The indoor season opens November 1, and through the cold months it gives Findlay a place to play, run a league and have a drink at the 16-foot bar.
The six bays run aboutGolf wide-screen simulators, the same system used by big retailers and university programs. More than 60 standard courses come loaded, plus 16 premium course packages that include Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and St Andrews. Bring your own clubs and hit real balls at a 17-foot-wide HD screen. The aG games package adds putt-putt, ski-ball and other games for younger and newer players. There are three putt-putt courses to play.
Open-play rates are per simulator: $35 an hour for the early-bird window Monday through Thursday 9am to 5pm, $45 an hour after work Monday through Thursday 5pm to 9pm, and $45 an hour Friday through Sunday. Four golfers playing 18 holes should plan on about four hours. The hourly rate applies whether you play a round, hit the range, putt with the kids or watch TV in the bay. Rates change, so confirm current pricing with the venue before you go.
In-season hours are 9am to 9pm Monday through Thursday, 9am to 11pm Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 6pm Sunday, closed on major holidays. Outside the November-to-spring season, call before you go.
The bar carries beer, a large rotating selection of craft beers, wine and spirits. Three HDTVs sit behind the bar, with comfortable tables and chairs for people who came along but are not golfing. The entrance, parking lot and restroom are wheelchair accessible.
Leagues come two ways. Closed private leagues are formed by groups of four or more and play at a set weekly time. Open leagues let you play the scheduled course any time during the week, with standings posted every Monday. Private lessons, club fittings, a small pro shop, kids’ and adult parties and corporate events fill out the services.
The Links is the local winter home for Findlay golfers who want to keep playing and for families who want a fun night with the games package. As of this writing it holds a 4.6 rating from 77 Google reviews.
