Katy is Houston’s golf simulator capital

Six simulator venues sit in Katy, and two of them publish full rate cards, which makes it the easiest place in Houston to price a night. Tee Time of Katy at 25707 Field House Rd charges $35 an hour on weekday mornings (10am to 4pm) and $45 on weekday evenings and weekends, on Trackman, for up to four players per bay. Its Gold membership is $150 a month for five free hours a week, then 50% off further bookings, with one guest free. It holds a perfect 5.0 across 25 reviews.

Nice Birdie at 20820 Park Row Blvd publishes the other card: $40 an hour weekday mornings, $45 weekday evenings, and $55 on Friday and Saturday nights. Its Practice membership is $79 a month for up to eight off-peak hours, and its Game membership is $215 a month with full-round play at $15 a game and up to three guests. It runs the NB Golf Academy for juniors, a 2026 summer camp, and a bar. It rates 4.7 from 67 reviews. Split a Friday bay six ways and the venue’s own math puts it around $9 a person.

X-Golf Katy at 3329 W Grand Pkwy N is the franchise room, with a bar, X League and tournaments, at 4.7 from 178 reviews. Katy Golf Club at 27520 Hwy Blvd is the hybrid: an outdoor range and short-game facility that added a Trackman 4 training center, with practice areas from $20 an hour and junior lessons at $130 an hour. It rates 5.0 from 40. And The Back Nine Golf Katy on S Mason Rd runs 24/7 at 5.0 from 160.

Where to play indoor golf with a bar in Houston

Swing Zone at 24036 Kuykendahl Rd in Tomball is the most-reviewed simulator room in the metro, at 4.5 from 252 reviews, and it is a bar first. The Daly Round at 11734 Barker Cypress Rd in Cypress calls itself a sports bar and indoor golf room, runs weekly specials, memberships and events, and rates 4.6 from 161. Both are the northwest suburbs’ answer to “let’s do something Friday.”

Down toward Galveston, Tee Box at 3202 Marina Bay Dr in Kemah runs eight TruGolf simulators with more than 100 courses, hosts league night and parties, and rates 4.7 from 97 reviews. It is the only sim room in the Bay Area, and it is next to the boardwalk.

Downtown, the Topgolf Swing Suite at the Four Seasons, 1300 Lamar St, is the group option inside the Loop, and the only one you can walk to from a convention. It rates 4.7 from 31 reviews. Book through the hotel.

24-hour golf simulators inside the Loop and beyond

Break80 at 2621 S Shepherd Dr in Upper Kirby is Houston’s 24-hour Trackman room inside the Loop. It is membership-based with Club, Player and Pro tiers, runs league play, closest-to-the-pin and long-drive contests, and rates 4.9 from 23 reviews. When we checked, its site was offering up to 20% off memberships with a summer code.

The Back Nine Golf runs five 24/7 rooms across the metro on Full Swing simulators: Houston Heights (5.0 from 21), Memorial (5.0 from 35), Katy (5.0 from 160), Spring (4.5 from 32) and Atascocita (4.8 from 21). The company’s own materials say no membership is required to book, and that most memberships include 24/7 access, guests and unlimited tee times, with pricing that varies by location. In a city where the best August tee time is 10pm, that is the format that fits.

Serious practice: Houston’s coaching studios

Golf Performance Group at 4554 FM 2351 in Friendswood runs Trackman 4, Full Swing and Uneekor side by side, does custom club fitting, and holds a Golf Digest coaching award. Its academy membership starts at $199 a month with a game evaluation included, and a second adult in the same household pays $100. What indoor golf costs in Houston

Katy sets the published range: $35 to $55 an hour per bay depending on the day and time, with practice memberships from $79 a month and full memberships at $150 to $215. Most rooms inside the Loop and the bar venues quote at booking. Bays hold four to six players, so even a Saturday-night $55 bay lands under $10 a person with a full group.

Peak is inverted from northern cities: weekday evenings and weekends from June through September, when the heat drives everyone inside, plus the usual holiday bump. The 24/7 rooms make late-night summer slots free of crowds.
